Friday, February 12, 2010: Mike preached this afternoon on Bourbon Street in New Orleans a few times with other evangelists that are in town. They took a little rest and fellowshipped over dinner. They intend to be on the street all night sharing the Gospel through open air preaching, tracts and one-to-one conversations... He said that the depravity is beyond what you would imagine and then said "I guess that is why God sent us here to preach!" Please pray that God continues to pour His love through these evangelists as they reach out with the truth. Please pray that hearts are touched! Please pray that they are kept safe!

Thursday, January 28, 2010: Update from Mike and Robert: "Here's another update as we make our final push before we leave. Mike and Robert are in their last few days of their mission to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Robert gave the message for Pastor Paul this week. He talked about Noah and him being a preacher of righteousness. We said our goodbyes to the crew of the Logos Hope and we were able to restock with a few thousand solid tracts from the ship for our final push to share the gospel. Another group has supplied booklets containing the books of John and Romans for distribution. Praise God as we ... See Moregiven away just about all the tracts we brought with us! We call on everyone to continue to pray for the lost of Montego Bay and for the name of God to be gloried in our final days on the island. Thank you. :-)"
Monday, January 25, 2010: Update from Mike and Robert: "Here is an update from our time taking out members of the Logos Hope: Saturday we had the privilige of taking 10 crew members from Logos Hope, the "book ship" into Sam Sharp Square in the center of Montego Bay. The team was composed of people from Germany, Australia, South Africa, Singapo...re, Russia and the United States. We handed out 1000's of tracts and had some great conversations. The team brought their guitar and a drum to help draw people and one young man drew caricatures. Our time with them was very refreshing even as we drew challenges from people like a jehovah's witness that Mike talked with and i talked with a man so full of bible knowledge that he ... See Moreneglected to realize he is lost and after explaining the gospel to them we pray both men realize they are sinners and there is only one way to be saved of the deserved punishment. On our day of rest we attended Faith Baptist Church. This week we'll be helping gather supplies to send to Haiti and using as an opportunity to evangelize another part of Jamaica. Thank you so much for prayers! It's the prayer and support that helps to keep us going... Thank you so much for yours!"
Thursday, January 21, 2010: Here's another update from Mike and Robert: "Mike stood in for Pastor Paul this week at his Tuesday night prayer meeting. He presented a bible study on humility; how we are to be humble and how Christ is our perfect example. This week we are ministry guests on a ship called the LogosHope. The ship travels to different ports worldwide with an international crew of over 500 Christian volunteers from as many as 46 countries. We will have the opportunity to take some of the crew members into the city center of Montego Bay to share the gospel."
Monday, January 18, 2010: An email from our brothers in Jamaica... please keep praying for them!!! Here is what they wrote: "We are doing very well. We think we've distributed nearly 9000 tracts. We claimed a place downtown Montego Bay called Sam Sharp Square as holy ground and we give tracts and do various readings from the Bible in the open air during the mornings. Sam Sharpe is a national hero who spent most of his time travelling to different estates in the area educating the slaves about Christianity and freedom. He became a Baptist preacher. We preach in the evenings and give more tracts and bibles. We are down to about 500 tracts which we hope will get us through next week. Someone told us people wouldn't listen to us yet we know they are because people take bibles and tracts, some are broken and others ask us to pray for them for various things going on in their lives. Everyday the question of the day we get is," what must i do to be saved?" Yesterday someone asked after his friends mouthes were stopped by the Law, "what must i do to get under the Blood?" We met a great Irish family, a pastor, his wife and three sons, Pastor Paul, Pamela and their sons Luke, John and Jason. Miss Pamela heard us preaching in the square one morning and since then they have invited us to their prayer meetings, out for dinner and for fellowship. We've been praying for the growth of their ministry and the people of Jamaica. We are in awe of Pastor Paul preaching and his prayers! Everyday we see the hand of God working! We serve an awesome God! Thanks to everyone praying! Don't quit."
Friday, January 8, 2010: Mike and Robert are in Jamaica, and this was the message they left earlier: "Everything is well here, we are encountering a lot of cults…7th Day Adventists, Jehovah’s Witnesses, Rastafarians but we are still proclaiming the Gospel. Every morning we go and give out tracts and we read the Gospel out in the open air. And then at night we take the amp and go back out to the square and preach to everyone out there. We have had some really good encouragement from some Christians here. We got stoned and thrown bottles at by some kids the other night… we are in the belly of the beast! There is really some wickedness here, but God is protecting us and we are blessed!” When speaking with them later in the day, this was the rest of the report: They are handing out 500-600 tracts per day, mainly to the locals that live there. Everyone is taking tracts and even asking for additional copies to share them with friends and family....In fact, they are seeing people walk around with tracts that they received days earlier. Both of their voices are holding up, they have been preaching for 5 days straight. They both sound completely in awe of God, totally filled, and truly blessed to be there. They will be teaching evangelism next week, and taking out local teams. They walk a mile to get to the square where they have been preaching, and on the way, they are receiving incredible encouragement from other Christians. They also cannot express how spiritually dark Jamaica is, but they do feel quite safe.... praise be to Our Father! Please pray for those that have received the Gospel message, pray for continued favor with the locals, pray for the Lord to continue to send encouragement, pray for the Lord to continue to provide for their every need. They have not asked for any support, but if the Lord leads you to support them in any way, through tracts, etc, please let me know. Oh thank you for praying, it is the greatest thing we can do for them!!! And the Lord is truly hearing our prayers on behalf of His precious children!!!
